Welcome to Sylore's Ultima Online 2008 compendium of casual gamer knowledge!

My wife and I met by the Moongate outside Trinsic on the Great Lakes server in the year 2000. Since then we've been thru a variety of different MMOGs, FFXI, DAOC, EQ, EQ2, WOW and a few others. For most games we compile large amounts of game data and sometimes we try to share this with others on the web as you can see we've done a few sections on DAOC and FFXI.

We'd like to do the same with Ultime Online and I believe the new look that Kingdom Reborn has brought  will make it interesting again for us. The game itself caters to casual but older players in my opinion. There are little tykes running around I'm sure but overall I believe the player base is made up of more mature gamers. 

So the game has been around since 1997 what in the world could my wife and I add that other websites don't have and my answer is "Not much". However we're not trying to be the one site you go to for info on UO:KR we'd just like to be the site that casual gamers go to. 

 Learning a game always takes a bit of time and UOKR has changed drastically from when we played over 6 years ago. It's almost like a brand new game to us! So as we learn and adapt we'll make notes and update our UO pages so as to help other people with similar issues.

 The first one would be installation problems, the patch process kept failing with an error applying "win32_2-51-0-3.rtp". After uninstalling, reinstalling, uninstalling again, defragging and error checking and reinstalling and everything else inbetween I figured it out. The patch was stopping due to a missed file buildinfo.txt (the patchlog showed me this). So I did some checking and someone was nice enough to post the contents of the file which I recreated and dropped in the main folder and it worked! I'll link the file later tonight if I have time. This problem has been around for over 36 days so I doubt it will be fixed any time soon. I hope this has helped someone out.
